the show was written by gay writers. or at least had a few. it has gay sensibilities. the quips, the witty banter, the put-downs.
and these ladies are archetypes. and we love that shit. like the gals in sex and the city.
each character sort of plays out key traits seen in the gay community.
by the bye -- i am a total dorothy zbornak.
