I mentioned offhand to Devers that I wanted Kid Icarus once... and last night he gave it to me!! So nice! Its really a great game-- tight controls and impressive music for the time it was made (this game is almost 20 years old!). It uses the same game engine as Metroid, another favorite, and has that same eerie feel but a bit more cutesy. Looking forword to hunkering down and playing this tonight!

OMG! I love this game a lot.
Its really great. I find it odd there has never been a proper sequel (there was that gameboy one but it was a shit sammy).

OHMIGOD... Kid Icarus was the first game I ever owned for my Ninetendo. I really wanted Super Mario Bros, but they were no longer making it... or it wasn't available or something.... so, I had to get Kid Icarus. It took me weeks to get past the first screen.... but then it became my favorite game.... SO FUN!
Its freekin hard. I can't get past 1-3.
there might be a sequel for icarus on the nintendo revolution. so, rejoice, i guess.
