You sing the high notes, I'll sing the low notes

I love burning mix CD's for myself. But I need your help. I've decided to make a CD of my favorite show tunes. I want songs from Broadway and the movies. As I'm sure you know, I have like a gajillion choices. I know 2 songs for sure. "Popular" by Kristin Chenoweth from Wicked and "The Nicest Kids In Town" by the delicious James Marsen and cast from Hairspray.

Please Help! What are some of your favorite show tunes?

Well, since you already have the Wicked soundtrack, why not add 'Dancing through Life'?

Ooh, or anything from "Little Shop of Horrors" if that counts? :)

"La Vie Boheme" from Rent
"Take Me or Leave Me" from Rent

The whole "Rent" soundtrack, really.

The song Cinderella sings in Into the Woods - the one about the prince and her shoe.

I'm a total dork/sucka for "Music of the Night" from Phantom, "Why God" from Miss Saigon, and "Gethsemane" from JC Supastah.

oh, and if we're talking about Bette Midler, the song she sings about Otto Titsling in Beaches would be GREAT.
